ICC’s Anti-Discrimination Policy:
It is the policy of ICC that each student should be able to receive training in an environment free from discrimination or harassment of any kind whatsoever, including discrimination or harassment on the basis of an individual’s race, color, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender, pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, domestic violence victim status, predisposing genetic characteristics, military status, arrest or conviction record, credit history, citizenship, veteran status, salary history, unemployment status, caregiver status or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
This policy is to be posted on our website, addressed by the instructor at the onset of each learning event and conspicuously posted in the training facility.
Our goal is to provide a training facility free from discrimination and harassment, sexual or otherwise. Such conduct will not be tolerated by the Company and does not belong in a learning environment. Discrimination or harassment of students by other students is strictly prohibited. This policy also applies to non-students, such as vendors and other visitors. Discrimination or harassment includes, without limitation, disparaging verbal remarks (i.e., epithets, derogatory statements, slurs, etc.), physical harassment (i.e., assault, physical interference with normal work or involvement, etc.), visual harassment (i.e., posters, cartoons, drawings, etc.) or innuendo.
Specifically, the following conduct constitutes harassment other than sexual harassment and will not be tolerated:
(i) Use of ethnic slurs or racial epithets;
(ii) Telling jokes that may be construed as harassment of others based on their race, national origin, age, disability or religious beliefs or any other protected characteristic;
(iii) The display of cartoons or other images (including images displayed on computers) that may be construed as harassment of others based on their race, national origin, age, disability, religious beliefs, or any other characteristic protected by law.
The policy prohibiting discrimination or harassment applies to everyone on the premises, including employees, regardless of title or job classification. The Training Director and trainers are responsible for encouraging employees and students within their area to report any violations and creating an environment where discrimination or harassment of any kind is not permitted.
All employees must comply with this policy and take appropriate measures to ensure that violations do not occur. Individuals who engage in such conduct will be subject to removal from training classes and the premises.
