Safety Courses

• 8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher / Chapter 33

    Description: This course is a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager or Site Safety Coordinator Certificate. This course is also a required course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card.

 

    Requirements: To renew a Site Safety Manager Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements. To renew a Site Safety Coordinator Certificate, the applicant must complete 8 hours of refresher training as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York § 104-06 Continuing Education Requirements. In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides eight hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

 

Scaffold Courses

• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher

   Description: This course is a requirement for an individual to use or work on a Supported Scaffold in New York City

 

    Requirements: To use or work on a Supported Scaffold in New York City, an individual must successfully complete 4 hours of User Training

 

• Site Safety Training (SST) Prescribed Courses

   Description:  2-Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP): This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides two hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

• 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness

   Description: This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides two hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement

 

• 2-Hour Pre-Task Meeting

   Description: This course is a general elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides two hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement

   Description: This course is a general elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides two hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

• 4-Hour Fall Prevention

   Description: This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESSLEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides four hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

This course provides one hour towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

• 1-Hour Handling Heavy Materials and Proper Lifting Techniques

   Description: This course is a general elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESSLEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

• 1-Hour Asbestos / Lead Awareness

   Description: This course is a specialized elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides one hour towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

• 1-Hour Confined Space Entry 

   Description: This course is a specialized elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Description: This course is a specialized elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Description: This course is a specialized elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESSLEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

   Requirements: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as “LL196” or “Local Law”). This course provides one hour towards the satisfaction of that requirement.

Our goal is to provide a training facility free from discrimination and harassment, sexual or otherwise. Such conduct will not be tolerated by the Company and does not belong in a learning environment. Discrimination or harassment of students by other students is strictly prohibited. This policy also applies to non-students, such as vendors and other visitors. Discrimination or harassment includes, without limitation, disparaging verbal remarks (i.e., epithets, derogatory statements, slurs, etc.), physical harassment (i.e., assault, physical interference with normal work or involvement, etc.), visual harassment (i.e., posters, cartoons, drawings, etc.) or innuendo.
 
Specifically, the following conduct constitutes harassment other than sexual harassment and will not be tolerated:
(i) Use of ethnic slurs or racial epithets;
(ii) Telling jokes that may be construed as harassment of others based on their race, national origin, age, disability or religious beliefs or any other protected characteristic;
(iii) The display of cartoons or other images (including images displayed on computers) that may be construed as harassment of others based on their race, national origin, age, disability, religious beliefs, or any other characteristic protected by law.
 
The policy prohibiting discrimination or harassment applies to everyone on the premises, including employees, regardless of title or job classification. The Training Director and trainers are responsible for encouraging employees and students within their area to report any violations and creating an environment where discrimination or harassment of any kind is not permitted.
 
All employees must comply with this policy and take appropriate measures to ensure that violations do not occur. Individuals who engage in such conduct will be subject to removal from training classes and the premises.
